Our groundbreaking research in electro-acupuncture for post-surgical pain management, along with multiple patents for innovative acupuncture methods and devices have made us a recognized leader in the field. We have been invited as experts in acupuncture and pain management by national TV channels and have been interviewed by other news media. We also have a number of publications on the subject and have conducted training seminars for other practitioners. We have a unique expertise in electro-acupuncture and percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (PENS). These are two related therapeutic modalities, which are used to treat pain, inflammation, and scar tissue. During these procedures an electrical current is delivered via strategically placed acupuncture needles to the affected areas and to deep anatomical structures that are not reachable by other non-invasive treatment methods. Among the ailments that we treat are post-surgical knee and hip pain and scar tissue, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), supraspinatus tendinitis, chondromalacia patella, Morton’s neuroma, and many others. Percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation can also be used to manage acute post-surgical pain. Our clinical research on post-operative pain management with acupuncture and PENS was published in the “Pain Management Nursing” Magazine in 2010.
